Extension, East Tuddenham

Our clients home has an outbuilding located in the garden, adjacent to the highway, and they wished to convert it into a self-contained annexe to provide guest accommodation.

The building was in a very poor state of repair and was in danger of collapse. It was necessary to carry out a significant amount of rebuilding and repair to provide a sound and stable shell.

The floor and roof were replaced and the walls were upgraded using insulated dry lining. Underfloor heating was incorporated throughout.

The conversion retains the style and character of the original property, particularly important for the elevation fronting the highway, whilst creating a modern, light and roomy interior.
